At present, Freedom Fences is operating 3 branches:

Anderson County

This is where it all began — the Anderson County branch began in August, 2010. The flagship branch of Freedom Fences, the Anderson team is headed up by Executive Director Patrice Shearin with support from a number of dedicated volunteers. They build 20×20 kennels once a month. Dogs in Anderson County can be spayed/neutered at the Humane Society Low Cost clinic by calling 367-7220 ($ assistance available). We primarily build on Saturday but builds have been know to happen on Sundays and during the week.

Oconee County

The Oconee branch has unchained 70 dogs since they got started in April of 2012. Typically, they install 20×20 kennels at multiple sites one Saturday a month. They also help families navigate the SNAC (Spay Neutered Assistance Coalition) Program; To report a dog in need, become a volunteer or to get more information, please contact Branch Director, Nicole Hubbard at This email address is being protected from spambots. Pickens County

We are thankful for Rachel's dedication and service to Pickens County but life sometimes throws a curve ball. Rachel has decided to take a break from leading the branch but will still help out as she can. For now the Pickens requests will be handled by the Anderson branch. If you are looking to get involved, let us know! Especially if you are in Pickens County!  Contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
